Aquatic Rescue | AOHI technical team travels to Wenzhou to conduct ROV training for Sea Eagle rescue team
Sep 11, 2020
On 7 September 2020, the AOHI technical team went to Wenzhou to train the Sea Eagle rescue team on ROVs so that they can make a big difference in search and rescue.
Technicians instructed the Sea Eagles rescue team on the connection and handling of the ROV by practising the operation of the ROV in shallow waters.
A robotic gripping exercise was then carried out in deeper water to pick up the discarded 'yellow bikes'.
This gives us a glimpse into the future of search and rescue activities with the AOHI Underwater Vehicle working underwater. The use of ROVs to search for and recover lost and sunken objects not only reduces the workload of rescuers, but also greatly improves the efficiency and safety of underwater search and rescue work.
